It was pretty good from 2012-2015 when it was a healthy mix of indie guys and former athletes. Once they went full PWG-lite is when NXT started being bad.

You're not wrong but that's how it goes when the guy in charge of developmental creates wrestlers and sends them up to the main roster for the guy leading the main roster to throw them away like trash. That disconnect between the two was unhealthy and it needed to be solved years ago.

this. you need guys hardcore wrestling fans know from the indies. Guys like Kevin Owens, Sami, etc. But you also need guys new to wrestling, former athletes trying it out and the only way they are gonna learn is being paired with such guys. Logan Paul learned off The Miz, Mysterio, the MSK guys. Imagine learning off fuckers who care about what some Jew on the internet says and rates matches. Now imagine watching an entire promotion dedicated to those fuckers.

NXT 2020 and NXT 2.0 have the same dedicated fanbase just with less smarks hopping over from AEW during commercials. It wasn't as bad of a failure as people said since more people watched that NXT than any previous iteration.
