Do you ever notice that a lot of the old wrestlers who say things like the "the marks are in the ring now" are themselves also marks who would get worked by younger wrestlers saying critical things about them while they are on television in a heel promo? Or they'd say they won't allow a guy to pin them in a match because they could beat them in a shoot fight? That's mark behavior. Who cares if you would win in a shoot fight? Wrestling is fake and everyone knows its fake.
