Now he's here and people still want to cheer him, but he needs/wants heat. He can't swerve the crowd even a little bit because it's just copy paste from last week and no one would buy it. It just wouldn't work. (Chris Jericho could do it tho imo)
So instead of thinking outside of the box and getting this 'swerve heat' in another way, he just moves to the 2nd part of his buffalo promo where he just shits on pepole. He still gets heat but it just comes off really cheap.
His bread and butter is being the beloved heel. Sort of like how Seth is in WWE. He's so good and resonates with the crowd so well. He brings out the best of what the crowd likes, but stays heel. In return you see him get heat, but in a different way. They boo him because he want's to be booed.
He should have swayed into the fact that Mox is talking about being the best and giving the best and how he HAS to be here and can't go on vacation. Finding points to agree with him on and get the crowd to pop for how he's agreeing with him, to then tear him down. How he's better and then sprinkle in the fat boy shit, ONCE. Talk about how Mox should be going on a vacation because he's earned it, and just like MJF went on vacation and came back with a big fat check, Mox should do the same thing. He should go back to his pal roman, get his old job back, a bigger fatter check and leave aew forever because the future is MJF.
But this weird Chris Jericho/Triple H/CM Punk hybrid promo shit sucks.
