>>7267687>This is what I find wierd, why bring the lawyerBecause they knew if they simply barged into Punk's dressing room and started a fight, then they would be in the wrong, because they're EVPs?
Instead, they talked to the lawyer and brought her along with the head of talent relations; may or may not have opened the door without Punk's verbal consent (since it's been debunked that they 'kicked the door in') and then talked to Punk, who threw the first punch.
Hey, like you said, if Megah can go anywhere she likes, you can't say the Bucks can't open the door if she's with them, and apparently they barely fought back against Punk. And in fact, Kenny (or Megah) went to make sure Larry was safe.
Everything points to Punk expecting a fight because of what he did, and then pre-emptively struck first. While the Bucks, possibly knowing this was what Punk was expecting or wanted, kinda let it happen.
You could say, Chris Daniels is biased towards the Bucks, but you can't say that about Megah.
To me, the Bucks handled this in the best possible way they could. If they went in peacefully without Megah, a brawl would still have broken out but then it'd turn into a hearsay situation where Tony was either gonna support Punk or Punk was gonna sue.
If the Bucks didn't respond to Punk, they'd be labelled as pussies. Their reputation would be shot and their roles as EVPs would have come into question.
But by bringing Megah in as a witness who is beyond reproach, and letting Punk hang himself, well, it all depends on what ultimately happens, but there's a reason why the feeling is that Punk's gonna get fired while the Elite essentially get a slap on the wrist.
