Jon Moxley left a contract in the middle of the ring and said anyone could challenge him. No one in the locker room cared enough to do this except for Punk's best friend Ace Steel, effectively burying the entire locker room. On top of this Punk just lost in 3 minutes the week before due to his broken foot and was convinced via pep talk to challenge one more time which he won decisively despite still having a broken foot and losing in 3 minutes.
