As former WWE writer Kevin Eck stated on PWTorch Livecast (May 5, 2016); "Daniel Bryan wasn't setting world of fire, when it came to ratings in certain segments, live attendance, same thing with CM Punk, the numbers just weren't there to support that he was over to the level that certain fans thought he was."
