The idea was for Scotty to turn heel and embrace a darker side of the worm. Unfortunately things got a little too dark when Scotty lost his cool and mortally wounded a local jobber in the middle of the ring with a shoot worm. His proposed push was nixed shortly thereafter and Scotty spent the rest of his WWE career eating pins on Velocity.
