They should just pretend they never happened. Nobody would care if the belts just kind of disappeared and nobody mentioned them again. Probably the best way to deal with it is to put the trios belts on a team of chickenshit heels and the tag belts on a team of fighting babyfaces and then have them face off against eachother 3 on 2 to unify the titles. Then have the tag team beat the trios team and have the tag titles absorb the trios belts. The trios championship is dead in the water, they have to get rid of it somehow.

It was DOA belts to begin with, just like the Owen Hart belt. Just meaningless bling when you can't even manage to hold a convincing regular tag division. You got what, 4-5 teams to fight for 'em over all in AEW? Nobody cares for tournament prices in other than passing notion when announcer says them in the entrance.

The Owen Hart belts were just trophies in the shape of a belt, they weren't going to be defended. The trios belts were bad ideas from the beginning and should be conclusive proof that Meltzer is a fucking retard and has no idea what he's talking about, because he was pitching that shit like crazy.
