Pro wrestling is marketing to women and twitter right now so whatever they want. Women wrestling, who h no one in the US books well, is a big selling point now (even though no one wants it). A lot of women are uncomfortable having him around. And maybe guys too. It's been years, and he would have been able to get back out alive but he doubled down on it and now he's fucked.
Because wrestlers need to interact with their audience on social media, like influencers, to get over and sell merch, when something like that happens they pretty much are forced to try to paddle through all the shit thrown at them and it's very hard to not just break down and fuck it up. Also he's a dickhead.
Marty is kind of doing ok with it, but he was cancelled for literally nothing. There are a few others who did more or less nothing and lost their entire careers too
