Taka was really fucking good, and he remains as good of a character guy even though he's gotten old. His match vs. Minoru Tanaka from '96 is one of my favorite matches of all time, definitely a top three jr. match for me.

Tanaka was a fucking gem. He's still really good, from what little I've seen of him. I was goping to try to get a current match of his for comparison, but I'm not sure I'll have the time and I don't entirely know where to start with GLEAT.

Minoru Tanaka, he started out in BattlARTS and Fujiwara Gumi, then had a fairly long run on top of NJPW's jr. division. After that he was all over, with AJPW and W-1, then started freelancing. I think he primarily wrestles in GLEAT nowadays. I would heavily recommend his match against TAKA in BattlARTS from '96, and his match against Murahama in NJPW from '01. One of my favorite shoot style guys. Everything he does looks so smooth and realistic.

I realize now I totally forgot to post the names of these matches, my bad. The last one is Nagai & Kakihara vs. Steele & Barton from 19.11.2000, and this one is Nagai & Kakihara vs. Yone & Otsuka from 28.01.2001. Both are good matches, but I especially recommend you look up and watch this one. Almost the entire first half of the match is a super tense grappling sequence between Otsuka and Kakihara that doesn't work in webm form at all but still looks amazing.

That show in particular has a few of them, I want to say both AJPW and NJPW did as well but I can't say for certain. I know current NOAH does both crane shots and drone shots on their bigger shows, so you might want to look into that. There's one later tonight.

I haven't followed AEW in a few months now. My schedule changed and I couldn't find the time to watch it with my usual group anymore, and I don't really have any interest in watching it on my own. I am not a regular DDT viewer so I can't speak on what kinds of crowds they pull usually, but someone else might. It feels like they hold relatively big shows at least every now and again, though.

Final webms for tonight are from the two NOAH shows this week, or what I watched from them, anyway. Sadly both commentator-less, and one is a hardcam-only, but I got some from it, anyway. This was my favorite of the matches. Really deserved commentators, real cameras and preferably a proper crowd.

This match was sort of underwhelming, in terms of how nuts the other lucha-offs have been. Might be a venue-and-production thing, though. Felt like it deserved a bigger show.

In case you want any tips for future webms, you might want to tell the converter to limit at 3MB and scale the webm down slightly to get it a bit crisper.

I'm quite fond of Chris Ridgeway I'd like to see him mix it up with some of the DG guys that has the Llave style down, like Kagetora or U-T. I'd have loved to see a Yuki Yoshioka, Dragon Dia & Madoka Kikuta trios match, but I guess that isn't happening since Dia and Kikuta are in other matches.
A Natural Vibes match is a must, especially with their entrance, would be a great way for Strong Machine J to show off his newfound groove as a breakdancer in Dragongate.
