Is this the best thing to happen to wrestling in 20 years? Last night was an incredible smackdown because the bloodline ran it. Heel faction dominated the show. Really fun to watch. I haven’t been watching smackdown I usally watch like the first 30 minutes of raw before it gets so bad I turn it off, I’ve been watching wrestling for 30 years and this is the best thing to happen in a while. Discuss.

Is Cody gonna be the one to beat Roman?

Did they bring back Braun to make him a monster for Cody to slay on his way to Roman?

The shaemus shit is corny. The bloodline stuff is fantastic. Not hard to figure out. The bloodline angle is printing money. It’s the only thing in wrestling that makes me excited. He’s Jinder’s reign except it doesn’t end.
He’s Haitch’s reign except no one gets over or made to look better from the feud except him.
Hell, even when Punk was doing the longest reigning champ thing, at least he could talk on the mic for himself, didn’t need Heyman to carry every single feud he was in and wound up putting Shield itself on the map. Also he got his match with The Rock in half the time.

The only reason he’s viewed as good is because everyone else have been buried to shit to allow for his push. He’s literally all that’s left right now.
Attempting to be a rising star that can’t benefit from nostalgia or nepotism on Dwaynedown is a death sentence.

When Roman returned as The Tribal Chief, it was fucking hot. Him feuding with one of the Uso's just to pretty much break him in. Then I think it cooled down a bit by being stuck in a forever feud with Kevin Owens, not doing much of nothing for 2021, but I think it's picked up steam the last year since he's beaten Brock. The stuff with Sami is legit great. Roman has become a good worker finally.

Shelton Finally broke out from just being a tag wrestler through HHH, Orton and Batista, hardly need mention, Benoit at mania, hell, even Eugene got to have SOME wins over Haitch that carried him into the next year.

It’s not a long list but Roman’s is empty after two years. He’s objectively worse.

He does decent to pretty good character work, he has a presence, yeah his matches are middling but what matters is they've done a good job at building him up as a attraction. I used to fucking hate Roman booking, but I think both Roman and WWE finally hit the stride with both him as a performer and his character.

Cody needs to be the one to beat Roman. He's the only babyface they have with a good story now. Drew at Clash at the Castle would have been a good moment to do it but they fucked that one up.
I know they want Roman vs Rock but the titles do not need to be involved at all with that for it to draw.
