As a trio they don't mesh because Io feels separate to Dakota and Bayley. And Dakota and Bayley don't even compliment each other well because one has an annoying accent and the other is just an annoying talker in general, while Io isn't an English speaker, a trio needs at least one good talker. They probably think Bayley is but she isn't.
Then there's the gimmikc about wanting to take out veterans. That makes NO sense. Bayley is literally part of the locker room 'establishment' she speaks against as she's one of the four horsewomen. Io was one of the most dominant NXT champs. These aren't new people or people that are new to the top of the card, the rebel gimmick doesn't make sense.

When Ta started it was one girl that was a jobber and two unknowns crashing the party and taking down the top girls to replace them. And that made sense because of who they were. But having a group led by a four horsewoman with the same objective is silly.
