TL;DR Punk, TKs booking and FTR themselves ruined FTR by overexposure, little tag matches and Dax just being retarded and wanting to be on every show/pushed to the moon

I don't understand how these guys are exempt from character work criticism. Their promos are mediocre, their backstage segments are a vacuum of personality, Hair FTR has the presence of window dressing while Bald FTR's entire character is sucking off his daughter like anyone gives a shit about her. Even if they're meant to be throwback characters, they have none of the swagger the Midnight Express had.

I still like their matches but outside of that they aren't that interesting. Dax is basically the face of the team and the main promo guy, but his promos are very one note. The Bucks go between me hating them or liking them sometimes segment to segment or match to match but I'm never indifferent on them like I feel with FTR half the time.

I'm completely over "muh bret hart" tribute spots.
