TK has never been an actual good or even average booker, he's shit. The only decent stories came from the talent themselves as extensions of stories that existed in other feds (Omega being an egotist whenever he gets to be champ, Hangman's potential), or new takes on them (MJF being a villainous heel hiding behind lackeys).
After he ran out of these hard templates to use, he had to book on his own merits, which he can not do.

the guy was following the standard A B Cs of booking. stuff that's already been ran through before but since this was a new promotion it was inevitable.

debuts, hotshots, blood, swearing, headshots, new belts, charity shit .. all been exhausted & this year has shown he has nothing left. he needs a proper booker. his limitations have been reached.

I'm sure it would hurt him if we're being honest because he does seem to love wrestling but thats what happens. I've watched AEW since day one and I think it kinda sucks more times than its good nowadays. Tony wants to do everything himself and shit suffers. Buying ROH didn't help.

He's chasing moments and not telling stories. Team taz dissolved in one week. That could have been a month's worth of build. Hook challenging for the belt itself could have been a whole story with twists and turns. Who will Taz and Hobbes back? they undid the whole thing in a week and had Taz just say on commentary that the stable was over. This guy doesn't understand storytelling. he thinks if someone calls someone a meanie head, then 3 weeks later they have a match on rampage, that that's a whole story.

Honestly I think he had been watching so long that he had a bunch of stuff he wanted to do, then when he got a promotion to play out all his shit he just did that. Then when he run through all his plans he was devoid of ideas as he can't go with the flow and make more plans.

Exact same thing happened with the Elite and Cody.

When Cody left it all went to hell, he picked the side of the elite and well the rest of the story is written . Tony loves To gamble which is the theme of the AEW and how the promotion found success but I think he picked the wrong hand

I think the problems came when he started filling the roster with exFed guys. The tipping point for me was Keithly. He genuinely thought this fat fuck with no appeal was a huge deal. A few weeks later we started seeing the booking become shitter and shitter. I'm not saying Keithly himself was causing the problem, but he was indicative of the problem. Too many guys with nothing to do. The best booking plans were when his back was against the wall with a limited number of guys who's booking all mattered.

There WAS no storyline for the feud. Punk just called out Hangman and got a title shot. It wasn't organic at all. The most interesting thing about it was the pseudo "AEW originals v Ex Fed" guys thing that Hangman tried to bring in.

All TK does is stipulation matches, surprise debuts, workrate matches, pushing charisma holes, huge announcements and special episodes to pop himself backstage.

He has way too many guys on the roster, at the start he just had a bunch of shitters and had to use them constantly, now he has a boatload of top tier wrestlers but there's so many people in the roster that he keeps rotating all of them and people just disappear for weeks. What's the point of having 200 people signed if you're not running any house shows, you only need like 30 of them

It's a proper monkey paw, you get an autistic billionaire who's weird enough to spend all his money on a dumb wrestling promotion, but then the wrestling promotion sucks because that autistic billionaire insists on doing everything himself. If he just ran the business side, it could maybe be good. He should have a knack for it since he's supposedly a statistics guy, he could just look at who's drawing viewers and money during what segments and tell the bookers to use the people that the audience actually likes. Instead he tries to feature all of his 400 wrestlers on three hours of TV per week

I saw a theory that actually made a lot of sense. Tony leads the analytics for both of his teams. He's probably running the show with a similar approach. Just do the same shit that the stats say show numbers.

I think Tony is deathly afraid of becoming Vince, so he doesn't want to future endeavor people. Look what happened with Marko Stunt, the guy just stopped calling him instead of actually being a proper businessman about it. So he has a 150 person roster and has to book around that, which takes skill that he doesn't have.

He needs help. He had EVPs to take some of the load off but at some point took duties from them with no plans to hand those duties off to anyone else.
After Rampage the wheels started to come off. Buying ROH accelerated it. AEW was much tighter when you just had Dynamite to deal with.
The roster got too big to manage, even with additional shows.
His obsession with not being WWE and having stuff that happens in real sports like interim champions ruined the titles...when just vacating would have been a smarter move.
In the end, he's a guy who's just a viewer. So he defaults back into just using the greatest hits but executed half as well. Now he's even resorted to 50 50 booking and endless feuds, like WWE.

Not sure desu. Regal would be a good choice. Arn would be a good choice. Danielson would be a good choice as well since he was on the creative team for a while. Omega actually knows that he wanted AEW to be a showcase for a multitude of wrestling styles. I would also say he should hire Rickey Shane Page for a possible booking commitee. The 44OH vs Nick Gage storyline turned GCW into the top indie. What Tony needs are storylines
