I've always wondered about this.. The story is that Farooq and Bradshaw were given marching orders to go out there and shoot beat the shit out of Public Enemy.
Public Enemy immediately recognize what's happening and never once do they try to save face.. They're docile and wooden and they let the Acolytes just beat the shit out of them without any resistance.

One thing I always noticed is that Bradshaw goes ape shit out there trying to actually hurt them. While Farooq remains completely professional about the situation.

The story I've heard is that Public Enemy came to the APA and tried to tell them what they were doing in the match, what they didn't want to do, etc. The APA took exception to this and decided to beat the shit out of them instead.

I remember when these guys debuted in the WWF and how obvious it was they just didn't belong. The whole fiasco between Punk/TK and the Elite were because they were fighting over who gets to be gatekeeper of AEW. It's pathetic. As for Public Enemy, they're a Nasty Boys reboot "to the extreme", but they were more entertaining in the ring than the Disciples of Apocalypse.

From what I understand is that PE came and said they didn't like how the match was gonna end and tried to dictate what the match was gonna be and pretty much acted like they where the biggest stars of the company Farooq and Bradshaw took exception because they where vets (Most vets would have taken a exception to their attitude mind you) So instead of doing what they wanted they shoot beat the fuck out of them for 20 minutes or w/e when it was all said and done PE shook APA's hands and apologized and everything was kosher from then on out

PE were ahead of their time for Vince. They used to get DQ'd for putting guys through tables but fast forward a little while and the Dudleys were putting people through tables every week.
