Warrior was basically meant to be the next generation Hogan, giving the belt to him made sense. The only issue is that he screwed himself over for the most part.

The Iraqi angle drew mega dimes though. Patriotism was over big at the time, and Sgt Slaughter was getting massive heat. Plus he did have a good match with the Hulkster with lots of blood which was surprising for the time.
