Not sure if boomers approved. Maybe they were still watching WCW in mid 2000. But as a gen Xer, I had switched to WWF and never looked back. WCW was pretty much unwatchable by that point. When I heard that Jarrett had won the WCW world title, I laughed, since I always saw him as a midcarder. Just a few years prior, this was a white hot promotion, but now a midcarder held their world title, and not long after that was when David Arquette won it. Such a fucking joke.

Honestly, most of us weren't watching then. I would check back in on WCW every once in a while but most people stopped watching in 99ish

My good friend Mr. Chris Swackhammer and I would do Double J and The Rock during band class
Our opinion was that they were the two biggest stars in wrestling at the time, most other kids agreed
Double J had heat with adults but the kids loved the Slap Nuts gimmick and el kabonging everyone

His WCW run could’ve been dimes but it was ruined by weekly title changes and train wreck booking. His runs in TNA were kino tho. J E Double F was really in main event form in early TNA. Only real gripe is he never pulled the trigger on making Monty Brown champ.
