self marks that want to get themselves over at the expense of the show are the ones who are constantly hooting and hollering during the matches.
just look at the smark after wrestlemania crowds where every single one of them is doing everything possible to distract from the show and get themselves over.
there is a happy medium though. I think the reality is, people will start chanting, but it just doesn't catch on, and so you only hear scattered chants until it's something really over like "who's your daddy" or "sami zayn"
