does not get mentioned enough as an all time promo. to this day, i still haven't seen a wrestler get this level of nuclear heat. his vignettes are just pure post 9/11 kino, almost eerily capturing that sense of unease in a suburban sense that the brown guy next door might be terrorist. feels like it was directed by the guy who made American Beauty.

this was about the peak of his heat. getting booed out of the arena for takes that would become lukewarm boiler plate normie talking points in just 5 years. vince was completely out of touch with the modern world but understood the conservative reaction to 9/11 and unleashed the most important character on American television this side of Jack Bauer until a literal terrorist attack overseas pulled the plug on the whole gimmick. absolutely insane and the only essential viewing the WWE has produced since the attitude era.
