Always interesting to hear Zane’s takes, mainly because he’s very rational compared to any other Wrestling-related YouTuber. No, dumb fuck. It's literally just bad news being a massive draw. Here's another example for you. Look at CNN or Fox News' ratings spiking whenever Russia invades Ukraine, or North Korea fires off some missiles, or any fucking bad news event always causes a spike in the ratings. School shootings, etc.

Its funny cause I have a counterpoint to this that actually bolsters your overall point. On this board, Ive gotten more hate and anger thrown at me by merely suggesting that maybe wrestling is more enjoyable when we focus on what we like instead of what we dont like. Anons got pissed and started making all sorts of excuses why the negative shitposting is necessary. People just want to be mad at someone or something.

The wrestling industry is inarguably worse than it was 20+ years ago. The industry used to hot, fresh, and full of larger than life superstars. Now it is dull, predictable, appeals only to a niche crowd, and most of the wrestlers look like average Joe's at best. And that doesn't even address the hot mess that is womeme's wrestling.

Wrestling was much hotter even during ruthless aggression era than it is today. Go look at the ratings. Wrestling has been in decline for two decades. Wrestlers keep getting smaller, the storylines keep getting less and less controversial, women keep getting pushed all over the shows despite never drawing a dime, and the wrestling itself has completely abandoned any semblance of believability in favor of choreographed spot fests with zero heat that may as well be a circus performance.

Speak for yourself, faggot. I've gone back to watch wrestling from before I was ever watching, before I was even born, and I've enjoyed it thoroughly. I've even enjoyed wrestling from countries that I would have had no way of ever seeing before. I simply don't enjoy how wrestling is presented now, and that has nothing to do with nostalgia.
