The problem is there's no one with their hands on the wheel to keep them going in the right direction. Tony is too beta to keep the boys in line, and too much of a mark to actually engage in sensible business. And none of the roster gives a shit because they're all either self-marks or looking for a paycheck. Say what you will about Carder's wrestler's court, but the fact they were organically getting together and figuring out how to solve their own problems shows an incredible amount of fraternity. And there were always leaders and people like Vince to keep people in line. AEW, meanwhile, has nothing to protect it once it hits a hard spot. Imagine a Benoit happening to them. Hell, a single MeToo or racist joke could probably demolish them.

I don't know about the Andrade thing yet. He was strangely absent and wants to get fired but it still might be a work - Sammy's not known for keeping twitter and show separate.
Like why would he try to get fired with brawling when everyone else doing so just got suspended for unknown time while still hanging on a contract. Unless Andrade is just gonna be suspended for months on end, its still possibly a work.

Ratings have been going down since late last year and their 18-49 has dropped by over 50% since debut (20% since last year). It far exceeds any cable cutting.

The backstage slap fighting between faggots that Ron Simmons could make cry in 5 seconds is social media drama that keeps the attention of fatsos, but the cracks have been there since 2020/2021.

I certainly wouldn't stick my neck out to help AEW, especially since the shitters causing trouble are going to get pushes because they're Tony's "friend". Cody put genuine effort into improving AEW and got virtually no recognition for it.

I do to a point. I was all on board with how Punk was the widest spread cancer in there and willing to half believe MJF actually walked out because of money, only to sell it back as an angle for Tony - with the way he is acting now and pushing Yuta.
But Andrade, already being Mr. phone-it-in, punching Sammy is a lawsuit and thats not a good look. Hanging on by his contract for months on end won't get him to WWE any quicker either.
