I’ve watched 80s wrestling like cornette recommends but it’s as bad as today in its own way wrestling has never really been worth watching besides for Austin McMahon it just needs to die finally the only people watching are vcr petting geeks

I like it when I watch old wrestling from the 80s and early 90s and random babyfaces who never interacted much would come out and save Sting or whoever from a beatdown.

Realistically, why would they do that?
I know the reason is to create an illusion of chaos, but in kayfabe, why would the timekeeper make a shit ton of noise like that?

It's got bad spots but the good so outweighs the bad that it's worth watching.
There's an episode of Memphis on YouTube that's just Lawler and Dundee cutting a promo on each other for 55 minutes straight and Lance Russell trying to guide the "conversation" between two pro wrestlers calling each other a sissy nonstop.
There's also that Terry Funk promo where he asks Lawler if he's a sissy in the most serene and sincere voice.
Lawler-Flair is a must see too. All 4 or 5 parts of that one show.
Cornette getting slapped by Watts in Mid-South, the Lawler-Idol hair match, damned near everything Piper did in the WWF, it shines above all else. Probably because that's what people upload to YouTube instead of all else.
