Instead, Kirt went full wacko. Whether it was from the drugs or a mid-life crisis or realizing he had wasted his prime years on a succubus, or all of the above, he showed us his true colors. All those years believing he was the victim were negated. He shat on the users who had stuck by him for years. He pinned his Twitch so he could be somewhat nice to anybody who gave him money. He would make wild claims about being courted by US Intelligence, and yet the begging for donations would continue.
Notoriously, he went all in on the idea that he was the father of Anonymous, and the rightful owner of it. He would scream every instance where some no-name journalist would interview him. He got a few words in on some HBO special about hackers that nobody even remembers. He would get furious at gamer-type energy drinks with the Fawkes mask on the label. It has produced little to nothing in terms of fame or just keeping up with his bills.
And so, the site is dead. Last I checked, Kirt was dating another drug addled skank who already has two kids, basically the first one he could find. /wooo/ was truly something unique and special and I truly believe it could have been so much bigger than it was. Especially now with wrestling seeing such a resurgence, and things like streams and podcasts and hanging out with fans online being so prevalent.
But what went wrong with /wooo/ is that, despite a rich community of fans and content creators, the owners, Kirtaner and Spardot, were lazy, selfish, pathetic, ego-driven assholes, who cared more about controlling their little sandbox than standing proudly over a beach. If Spardot killed Kirtaner's spirit, he was willingly bent over the whole time. They are Dixie Carter and Vince Russo. They deserve each other and none of us. I just hope their kid turns out ok, because shitheads like them becoming parents is a huge part of what's wrong with society.
