GCW sources reportedly told Fightful that AEW didn't even want Moxley to do the title match last night at GCW: Fight Club Night One. The company was said to even have asked AEW talent to not work GCW dates months ago, though Moxley insisted on finishing his run with the company. Not surprisingly, Moxley is not scheduled for any future GCW dates.

I never understood why he did it in the first place. Impact and Njpw are cold feds but at least they have tv deals and some name recognition. No one knows GCW and it’s extremely low rent/unprofessional . AEW got nothing out of it

Trust me, you will see at the very least NXT talent wrestling on GCW shows in 2023. WWE is always willing to do business with the hipster indie promotions, starting with ECW and most recently trying to acquire Stardom and licensing the Progress library for the network.

The owner of GCW doesn't have a luxury suite for every single major WWE PPV for no reason.
