I didnt like him at first but seeing at the quality of what he put out. he was the only WWE superstar to rival The Rock. at least in the 2010s. as for this decade we have yet to see anyone like him. Roman has been around as long as cena had been (comparing 2022 to 2012) and Roman isnt any where near as popular as cena was.

He was awful in the ring for most of his career, he became cheesy and pandering, and he would never turn or evolve his character despite being stale within a couple of years of becoming a main eventer.

Pretty much this but how much of it was inexperience and how much of it was Vince demanding 5 moves of doom and predictable Hogan at home matches is debatable. Similarly his promo ability was plauged by the same problem although he still had witty moments
