True, but he could've always decided to back out at the last minute.

Had he done so, he might still be done with the company. Two major, post-title-win injuries in a row's hardly a spirit enlivener. The difference is that he could actually stand a chance at coming back, and The Elite would certainly be far more likely to re-sign with TK, as opposed to now, where all four are almost assuredly done and never coming back.
