The much more likely scenario is that Bray was being paid $3 million a year, and the company was earning considerably less than that by keeping him on the roster. That’s why he was let go. Multi billion dollar, publicly traded companies keep track of these things.

I heard it was 4 million. But yeah, you're right. It wasn't a net gain for WWE when you factor in his salary. Conversely, WWE made bank on Alexa because she moved tons of merch while only having a 300k salary
