Possibly. Dude was mentally fucked up from losing Harper and someone else (he said he lost 2 people but I'm not sure who the other was). If he tried working out and didn't get gains he wanted, it could have tipped him over the edge and he might have shoot offed himself.
That said, he came back looking pretty jacked when he returned during the Firefly Funhouse stuff. I guess he fell into old eating habits after getting released though.

Honestly I thought Bray looked pretty jacked. Mainly his arms, since that's all you could really see. I'm sure he still has a decent amount of body fat, but it looked to me like he put on some muscle.

I think all fat wrestlers should at least work on their arms and shoulders being intimidating as possible. Applies to Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Eddie Kingston etc

Imagine a 50% more muscular Owens or Kingston. Beast mode

Also, look at Samoa Jone. He's injury prone because he carries imbalance of fat to muscle ratio. Most fat wrestlers are safer slimming down or at least putting on more muscle. Look at Walter, he looks great. I wonder if a guy like Joe could pull that off. He is Samoan so probably not
