Extreme Rules showed just how thin the main event scene is and exposed how badly they either need to force Roman to defend at every show or take the fucking belt off him already. If they only had 10 high quality PPV’s a year the product would benefit tremendously from being able to actually have some build up between events, as it is they’ve been working towards a massive 14 to 16 PPV schedule where every other event is skippable because the best they can do is either a big gimmick match (for the #1 contender, fucking lulz) or a shitty gimmick grudge match for a secondary title.
