>I just feel like, at this stage of the game, the public deserves some sort of explanation. The people who have been supporting this company from day one and the fans who have purchased tickets for these shows coming up... And they have not even acknowledged that Punk is injured, and that's the thing- "well, Punk couldn't be there anyway because he tore his triceps". Did AEW say that? No. Punk has just dissapeared off the face of the earth as far as they're concerned and he was the World Champion at the time. The other guys were the Trios Champions at the time and they've just dissapeared, we've got new champions and [still] no explanation has been made. At least when Ric Flair walked out (or was fired by Jim Herd) they at least made an explanation that Flair had no showed a match and therefore we had to strip him of the championship. I mean, they didn't even do like carney WCW from 30 years ago, they didn't even do that.
>That's my thoughts on AEW right now. Again, they built a company on the idea that they were not going to be WWE and that they were going to be fan-friendly and they should be judged by that standard. [People say] "you can't judge them like a sport, they're not sport" well they're trying to be a sport and you can judge them by sport. If you want to say "you can't judge them by sport" then ok- let's judge them by pro wrestling. What would a pro wrestling promotion do in this situation? What would New Japan do? We already know what New Japan would do:- they would tell you the day of what happened and why. They might not tell you everything, they might hold some stuff back but they will certainly tell you if they're not on the show and this is how long for. With Kota I bushi it's like we don't know when he's going to be back, we all understand that, but they didn't pretend it never happened...
>I just think AEW should live up to the standard of at least second level pro wrestling.
