I've met very strongly atheistic people from the Middle East who 100% believed every Imam should be put to death or that Hinduism oppressed millions by upholding the Caste System. Both of those people regarded Christianity as being so unobtrusive and benign that they had no real opinion on it beyond "i guess they are wrong but if it makes them happy?"
Granted both of them were probably objectively correct in their respective religions holding back their societies but it is still an interesting thing to see play out. I would suppose the Dali Lama would be a very strong target for atheists of all stripes since he rules a theocratic slave state but I've never met a western atheist who put him anywhere near as high on the list as "the TV preacher who got caught having sex.. GAY SEX LOL!" or similar media scandal situations. I guess people really just riff on what they know?
