Shitposting aside, is he shoot well-liked by everyone in the backstage? He kept getting second chances and new gimmicks whereas a lot of people in the same boat as him would've got the boot ages ago.

His shitty gimmicks weren't his fault. He was dimes as the lone wolf then Vince kept giving him crap gimmicks. Blaming him or firing him for sucking at that point would be like smearing your shit all over someone then being mad at them for smelling bad.
I honestly have no idea what the fuck Vince was thinking with his repackages of this dude, really strange stuff that handicapped his career.
