but exactly how? in what way is it at all like the hangman/elite storyline?

i followed the elite from 2016 and this idea that the hangman thing was a long term booked story is revisionist history

when they included the storyline on to aew television it was executed near perfectly
but no one ever remembers right when hangman should've have won the title, the hottest he's ever been.. he fucking went home to have a kid

derailed his momentum and slowed everything down.
why do you think people did not give a shit about his title run aside from his matches with punk and bryan.

Then after winning he is mogged by a guy from the other company and then he beats him and does nothing at all besides backstage skits with his friends pretending they are in some soap opera for children. And then he loses to title to a guy he tried to shoot on in an incoherent promo and then disappeared into his YouTube gay boyfriend's saga again?

No, I don't think that's what happened. I don't watch WWE but I am confident it is not the same at all.
