Let's say hypothetically Alvarez, Meltzer, SRS etc are all correct and it wasn't the Young Bucks leaking to the dirt sheets. Then who realistically at the time was the actual leaker?

Nobody "leaked" anything, it was a naturally-arising conclusion based on Punk's arrival and Colt's disappearance. I guarantee almost everybody in the locker room believed Punk had something to do with Colt's disappearance, either directly (asking Tony to get rid of him) or indirectly (Tony preemptively getting rid of Colt because he knew him and Punk would have problems).

This is probably the real truth. I think what initially happened is that Khan and the actual leadership of AEW (not the EVPs) decided to separate Colt and Punk as a pre-emptive measure and to bolster a potential ROH lockerroom. It backfired as because Colt was well liked, his leaving to ROH lead to speculation that Punk asked him to be moved which spread naturally in the lockerroom, and as any of the nu-ROH has had problems with getting on air, the rumors just increased, morphing into a plot by Punk to ruin Colt.
