I'm not saying that absolutely anybody would have gotten over with his booking, but you would have to be a complete piece of shit as a wrestler to not be as over as Yuta got after his booking against Mox and Danielson. New Japan has at least five guys who either haven't graduated yet or are still on excursion that are all far more natural babyfaces than Yuta. Oiwa has been wrestling in public for less than two years and has more charisma and can pull off a better babyface comeback than Yuta. Look at Yuta's facial expressions, when he's selling or firing himself up he looks like he wants to cry. His presence is whiny and offputting and if Tony thinks that he should be telling off Danielson on television without getting immediately heemed afterwards then his instincts for the wrestling business are preternaturally awful.
