it was a competition up until 2000 when wcw lost hogan and killed kayfabe by having tony and the others (hudson, madden etc) say insider terms like "going over" and work and shoot. one of the commentators even said "kevin nash had the book for 2 months and then goldberg's streak ends" which buries the streak from only a year and a half ago and says its all fake but also spread the myth that nash booked himself to end the streak which wasn't even true. nash didn't book the fingerpoke crap either and why would he? as he even pointed out that made him look weak as fuck. there's no way he'd book himself to be the first to beat goldberg and then the next week lay down for hogan. Hogan vs Nash was a big money match that had never been done before and they blew it. hogan and nash both should have turned that down. why have creative control if you're not going to use it
