Check the average viewership for 1999 raw and then check the average viewership for every year of the ruthless aggression era, it was on par u idiot. I didn't watch the attitude era back then but I WAS around back then and wrestling WASN'T as big as attitude fags make it seem, I have never ever seen a day in my life where wrestling was completely universally accepted.

There was a drop in rating/veiwers once Stone cold turned heel and the Invasion happened. RAW had the reign of terror but SD was known for great matches and was on regular TV and actually started to regain ground up until the fans started to turn on Cena seeing him slowly turn into Super Cena

The drop was based on the peak where Austin had been going strong WCW/ECW were on the way out and they were pulling in ratings that curbed even early AE.You could have easily remained at that level if they didnt fuck everything up by 2006

it was good until 2003 and thats it. even then it was nowhere near the level of attitude era raw. i dont think you were old enough to watch the attitude era as it was happening, there's no way you would say this otherwise. not a single thing smackdown ever did came close to austin vs mcmahon or austin vs rock. or the ministry of darkness. the entire ruthless aggression era was like a watered down, lamer attitude era. at the time it was seen as a low point compared to what came before and everybody just wanted the attitude era back

I stopped watching late 2003, then i watched a random smackdown one day and JBL was the champ. I thought "wtf why did they make this nerd champion?". I didnt even realise it was bradshaw until i started watching properly again in 2005 lol. I just thought he was some new geek. It was very jarring coming from the era of austin, rock, lesnar etc. all the champs had been legit guys, then suddenly this guy

in hindsight i dont know how i didnt recognise it as bradshaw, because i rewatched 03 recently and bradshaw had his jbl haircut already during the 2003 APA run which i must have completely forgotten about
