He was a day-oner, well loved and respected by the boys in the back, and could still go at a top level. You don't dump a guy like that for a guy who's already coming in day one with the sweetheartiest sweetheart deal any non-WWE promotion's given since the Fall of WCW, and said guy's reasons for such are this petty. The backroom fistfight just clinched his downfall.
