I think he's trying to steal the Big Boss Man spot where he set the opponent up like this, then slide out of the ring and punch/slap them. Except the way Boss Man did it was cool and at least had some flow to it instead of this shitty "stop everything in it's tracks to do my move" bullshit. No wonder Edge was the Michaels.
