>>7775082Tony Khan thinks it makes himself a better promoter.
Tonnes of jeets do this.
They buy fancy cars, fancy homes, or even whole football teams and companies NOT so they can run them well or run them into the ground, but because they genuinely, innately, on a genetic level believe, that merely owning a football teams makes them a good manager, merely owning a sports car MAKES THEM Ayrton Senna, merely owning a wrestling promotion makes them a good promoter.
And it gets even better.
Tony Khan believes that because he hired Arn Anderson, he himself is a good old-school promoter.
Tony Khan believes that because he has the Elite under contract, he himself is a part of the Elite and leads them and is the best member.
Tony Khan believes that because he, the Great Tony, was able to bring CM Punk back into wrestling, the Great Tony Khan is the single greatest wrestling promoter and booker of all time period.
So far so same. The better bit? Punk has had enough and wants out.
This is not just perceived as a professional disagreement. This is a great personal insult and an assassination of the Great Tony's apocalyptic ego.
Effectively, Punk leaving would make the Great Tony the single worst promoter of all time, in the eyes of Tony.
The single worst guy in wrestling.
The single worst wrestler.
The man who made the single worst effort against the WWE.
I know it's a massive effortpost but summertime just ticked over and I have some time to kill.
It boils down to this.
Tony Khan cannot change his booking and cannot not hire botch bitches like Weeping Willow Shiteingale, because he has the best in the business under contract and feels like that makes him the God of Wrestling.
Which he isn't.
Because he's a FUCKING MARK.
