He has awful instincts when it comes to movies/roles.
I sympathise that Hollywood had a very different attitude to pro wrestlers in 2004 when he switched full-time to acting.
He had to convince them it wouldn’t always suck and bomb like Mr Nanny.
He changed the business for people like Batista, Cena, and those that follow.
It’s a shame he has zero quality control and basically he’s not talented as an actor.

That was justified though. Nwo in 2002 were done repellent and everyone wanted Hulk Hogan, not Hollywood. Rock was justified in burying Nwo specifically because they turned out to be injury prone losers with politicking problems that didn't want to do business, ending in them getting released after limping on for shy of a year with every known shot in the arm they could get. Nwo simply wasn't a viable draw after 1998.

Meanwhile Rock and Hogan went on to make many windfalls for the company.

Fun fact. Toho company who created and owns the rights of Godzilla, made sure that Godzilla will never lose or die in an American film after the 1998 American adaptation fiasco. That's why in Godzilla vs Kong, he basically buried Kong in almost every encounter in the movie despite what the trailers suggested.
