>>7805141>mightNice weasel word use. I "might" get hit by a car tomorrow and never see another wrestling show. Anybody can claim that given theoretically possible eventuality X "might" come to pass. It's pure clickbait founded on nothing more than hearsay and speculation.
It doesn't even square with the rest of Meltzer's recent reporting, since there wouldn't be much point in TK considering a buyout unless it were to avert his showing up in WWE (as a wrestler, not just a commentator or some shit) the minute his contract is up. This is just Punk's camp making a pathetic play for sympathy.
>>7805210This. Hell, there's still a non-zero chance of Terry Funk having one more match. I hear Ric Flair has already hinted at coming out of retirement again.
Sting and Christian both came back from fucking spinal injuries at an age older (significantly older in Sting's case) than Punk is. I seriously doubt a mere torn muscle is going to end him. The only way I see that happening is if Triple Paul should realize that bringing in Punk just to spite AEW is unlikely to actually end up being worth it to WWE in the end.
Punk wanted to be Piper, but ultimately he's Warrior. His career isn't going to end due to injury, or age, or untimely death, but due too many burned bridges. IMO, he *should* be there now, but I doubt that he actually is.
