Inoki was incredibly based but Inoki-ism was an absolutely retarded idea. Considering Inoki more or less turned his back on pro wrestling (despite never having a fight himself that wasn't fixed) and threw his weight behind Pride and MMA, you could also say that Inoki-ism dealt pro wrestling a blow in Japan from which it has still not recovered. In retrospect, it was an incredibly selfish carnie thing to do from Inoki and killed the business.
