The whole WWE shitshow gave him plausible deniability because everybody knew how bullshit it can be backstage, so it was reasonable to assume it wasn't his fault.

But watching in real time as he walked into an incredibly friendly locker room and turned it into a dumpster fire pretty much showed since day 1 it's always been Punk's fault

He's been like 30/70 at every place he's ever worked in terms of who likes him, normally he's super cozy with the booker but doesn't like most of the rest of management. Most of the talent don't like him outside of a handful of guys in most companies. Was that way in ROH, MLW, IWA Mid South, OVW, WWE and AEW. First place he ever wrestled he threw a chair at the bookers head after a match.

Like wrestling is bullshit so not being liked by a ton of wrestlers and carnies behind the scenes is fine but the dude clearly has a screw loose.
