Not that anon, but those pics were taken at TakaTaichimania 2. It was the second in a series of independent shows put on by Taka Michinoku and Taichi. In the second of the series Douki was originally scheduled to have a match with Jun Kasai. However something came up and he couldn't do it, so Despy stepped in. The mask he is wearing is in honor of Douki showing that he is there in spirit even if he couldn't be on the card.
Anyways the match starts fast and stiff, and a couple of minutes in Kasai kicks Despy face first into the steel railing surrounding the ring. Despy's hands were too slick with sweat and they slipped on the spot and he ended up going full force jaw first into the railing. Completely shattered his jaw and the ref immediately stops the match. Despy stands up and works through an audible of Kasai and they convince the ref to restart the match. This is all in the first five minutes of the match. The next 15 minutes they work the match as if it was completely normal and Despy keeps catching blows in the face, almost dropping, but fighting on. They go through some of the typical Kasai spots and the match ends. After selling the finish for a while Despy gets up and staggers to the back. His jaw was fucked up so much that he was removed from the BotSJ which he was favored to win the next week.
Despite completely fucking over NJPW's booking he wasn't punished and instead was rewarded with some really good top level booking and a chance to get himself over. The dude had so much guts that he went from a junior jobber in a jannetty faction to becoming one of the most popular wrestlers in the NJPW's roster overnight.
