Everyone being forced to be on a bus all the time wouldn't improve morale.
It's not a write-off, it's a huge thing that includes tons of buses for their huge roster, drivers, logistics coordinating all of them, and then you're proposing forcing everyone to stay at the same hotel, which would need at least 150 vacancies for all the potential people who could stay there if you have staff and the roster all at the same place.
As for where they would want to go on their own, there are tons of places that you want or need to go to for your personal life that aren't 'touristy things'.
