Red Shoes stopped the SANADA vs. Ospreay match in the NJC this year. It was actually due to SANADA having his orbital bone broken, but the story was that Ospreay was about to knock him out with the elbows. In the match after, Red Shoes called Ospreay's tap-out "early" (of course, that's just him being a cocky heel) but the story was that Red Shoes got criticism for letting the 12-6 elbows go on for too long, so this time around he made sure to be on the safe side.
On top of that, Umino is his son, and the commentary really put over the idea that he might just have stopped it early because his dad instincts beat out his ref ones.
