I never understood why WWF made a big deal out of his debut. They ran that countdown timer shit for months just for it to be some bland cruiserweight opening act from wcw wtf?

Then it got even worse, because years later they had him beat the two biggest stars of all time in the one night. I wonder what kind of favours he had to do for that to happen.

The only time he was great was his programs against Malenko, Rock, HHH, Shawn, and Christian. That's it. I remember everyone on the IWC hyping up his Mania 28 match against Phil and it ended up being a major letdown.

I'm convinced that countdown timer was originally for someone else but the deal fell through so they shoe horned Jericho in. He just was not deserving of such a huge push right out of the gate and his immediate de-push is evidence of that.
