Hulkamania while a “boom” for wwf was actually a huge decline in wrestling. Many arenas went from weekly wrestling shows to having a wwf show every 6 months or not once a year.

Hulkamania and the death of the territories took live wrestling from being a part of your weekly routine to a thing you do maybe a couple times a year. And that’s at best. Most fans decided they didn’t want anything to do with his kiddy bullshit.

Austin just gained back some of the fans HBK ran off.

If you want to talk actual draws you have to look at guys like Jackie Fargo who got the same people to buy tickets every week.
