They were out drawing singles champions across multiple promotions, and we're given prominent billing even for WCW shows despite all the talents they had. For example, Road Warriors were the cover stars for the WCW wrestling game on the NES, despite Flair appearing in the game too, and of course we're featured in PPV main events for the NWA/WCW and on promotional posters, again over Flair, Sting, etc.
